The physical exploration of the natural world is brought to life in Sarah’s work by the way she creates the features and style of her pieces.
This is then developed through experimentation with form by several different techniques such as raising, fabrication and forming. Textural aspects are added with chasing & repoussé capturing the energy and flow of the ocean.
Sarah’s Chasing Waves Collection encapsulates her love of the flow and movement, in and around the ocean.
The whole handmade process brings a natural feel to her work. She predominantly uses traditional techniques of raising and forming the metal, texture is then added with chasing and repoussé.

Whilst using chasing tools to make these lines, Sarah’s imagination runs away with her and she envisions surfing and carving along a wave.
